I don’t think anybody realizes how dependent on books, and movies, and TV shows, and fictional places and things I am.

i love the term “bear with me” because it could mean either 1 of 2 things:

  • asking someone to be patient
  • confirmation that the zoo heist was a success

nordic-nerd:

Someone over at the ASOIAF reddit pointed something out that I guess I missed the first time I read A Dance with Dragons. At the point where the wildlings are being let through the Wall, they are forced to give up their valuables so that they can be sold to buy more food for all the new mouths to feed. Jon observes some of the items being turned in:

Amber pendants, golden torques, jeweled daggers, silver brooches set with gemstones, bracelets, rings, niello cups and golden goblets, warhorns and drinking horns, a green jade comb, a necklace of freshwater pearls…all yielded up and noted down by Bowen Marsh.”

But then:

"And there were queerer things: a toy mammoth made of actual mammoth hair, an ivory phallus…”

Apparently someone handed in their mammoth tusk dildo with the other valuables to the Night’s Watch. Tough, man.

One of the things I wanted to explore with Jaime, and with so many of the characters, is the whole issue of redemption. When can we be redeemed? Is redemption even possible? Our society is full of people who have fallen in one way or another, and what do we do with these people? How many good acts make up for a bad act? … I want there to be a possibility of redemption for us, because we all do terrible things.

Ser Galladon was a champion of such valor that the Maiden lost herself lost her heart to him. She gave him an enchanted sword as a token of her love. The Just Maid, it was called. No common sword could cheek her, nor any shield could withstand her kiss. Ser Galladon bore The Just Maid proudly, but only thrice did he unsheathe her. He would not use the Maid against a mortal man, for she was to potent as to make any fight unfair.

Brienne of Tarth, A Feast for Crows.

Now I, like every other A Song of Ice and Fire reader, reads way too much into every little thing, but I still wonder…

SIRIUS FLIRTING WITH LITERALLY EVERY TEACHER TRYING (and failing) TO GET OUT OF DETENTION

He tried it with Dumbledore once and the man laughed so hard it almost worked, but then McGonagall came around the corner. Sirius brags until his dying day that he once seduced Dumbledore himself.

James never actually believes him until one day Sirius gives Dumbledore this huge dramatic wink and then Dumbledore winks back.

James stands up and walks out of the great hall.

#Viktor was obviously deeply in love with her #just remember the fact that he took her to prom #even knowing that he could’ve choose any other girl #remember how he forgot about everyone and danced with her all night #remember how he looked at her while saying ‘write to me, please’ #remember how, a few years later #on Fleur’s wedding #he danced with her one more time #probably being conscient that her heart already belonged to Ron #this is why I love Viktor Krum so much #he just enjoyed being with Hermione #and didn’t care about the future #mostly, because she wasn’t going to be a part of his.

.

He was chosen to be in the tournament for a reason.

Viktor, I love you! Viktor, I do!

When we’re apart my heart beats only for you!

Not to mention that his first language was almost assuredly not English, and yet he tried so hard to understand and talk to Hermione AND write to her in it afterwards. The fandom always lables him as stupid, but wtf, he’s not exactly in his element.

I honestly don’t know why more people didn’t support this. When Jo spoke out about Harry and Hermione all I could think about was Krum. Hermione marrying Krum, working in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement- International Affairs. Supporting her husband with his Quidditch career and when he retires as Seeker helping with build a new one. Her and Krum spending their holidays in Bulgaria, having beautiful bilingual babies together. To me, it seems more logical.
